Key responsibilities include leading FP&A processes to develop and validate growth and margin targets, preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and partnering with Division Leadership Team (DLT) on functional budget management.Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and presentation of monthly and quarterly business reviews, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Plan for MSD.
  • Operate as the leader to partner with commercial, operations and services to drive business execution in both revenue growth and margin expansion, support risk mitigation and drive for maximum performance.
  • Hire, mentor, strengthen and develop the team to enable professional and technical growth as well as talent retention.
  • Support functional leaders to develop financial budgets that align with their strategy.
  • Support the improvement of Hyperion PLN across the division in partnership with finance teams. Drive FP&A process automation and generative AI productivity in finance.
  • Support strategic financial analysis of potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions. Evaluate and model scenarios of major investments to support capital allocation decisions.Preferred characteristics:

      • An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent education and experience is required; an MBA or CPA is desired.
      • Excellent academic credentials and a strong aptitude in business partnering and financial analysis.
      • A minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible finance/accounting experience
      • Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Hyperion, and PowerPoint

Leading a team of four legal professionals, they will own all legal aspects of operations for these businesses, with more than 2 Billion in annual revenue, more than 25 facilities and more than 5,000 employees.The Lead Counsel be a member of the Executive Leadership Team for CTD and will provide senior management with advice on company strategies and their implementation, manage the legal function, oversee all legal compliance and regulatory requirements and the work of outside counsel. The Lead Counsel will be directly involved in complex business transactions and in negotiating strategic partnerships on behalf of the division. This leader will work with customers and counterparts around the world on regulatory matters that impact CTD, and will liaison with Thermo Fisher Scientific corporate functions that provide support for litigation, labor, risk management and intellectual property matters.The Lead Counsel will report directly to the VP and General Counsel of PSG and be a member of the PSG legal leadership team, with a strong matrix reporting relationship to the President of CTD. This role has global reach that will influence the company's growth strategy.Key Responsibilities:
        • Lead a team of in-house lawyers and professional staff to implement Company goals and protect investments across assigned businesses.
        • Work with business leaders to set and implement appropriate legal and regulatory strategies to achieve business objectives, pro-actively identifying emerging risk and opportunity areas and advising senior management on same.
        • Work effectively within the organization to connect resources to address challenges of diverse scope and complexity.
        • Work with legal and business leadership in setting department culture, development of talent, and budget. Ensure proper staffing level and staff training and development plans are established to support business needs.
        • Set commercial legal strategy and company-wide standards and processes regarding a range of legal issues.
        • Explore and evaluate continual process improvement to provide efficient and effective commercial legal support and risk management. Pro-active in driving improved efficiency of operations. Lead and guide team in implementation of same and structure work in efficient manner.
        • Select, evaluate and lead the use of external counsel, vendors and advisors as needed.Qualifications:
          • 15+ years' experience in commercial legal work, including 5 years' in-house experience in global operating companies involving life sciences or related area such as pharmaceuticals.
          • Experienced people leader with 5 years of experience developing and leading successful teams of attorneys and legal professionals.
          • Experience of working with a business-legal approach and cross-functional teams. Ability to navigate sophisticated and ambiguous environments with risk taking.
          • Can align and influence through direct and indirect authority, and communicates effectively across teams, functions, and regions
          • Ability to develop practical processes/approaches and to drive solutions to completion, including initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.
          • Outstanding oral and written communications skills. Strong sense of ethics and integrity.
