Product Solution Sales Manager (Manufacturing)

Synopsys silicon engineering tools are at the heart of semiconductor innovation, spanning from established processes to advanced process nodes down to 3nm and below. Our tools optimize tradeoffs between speed, area, power, test, and yield. Synopsys is seeking a strategic thinker and action-oriented individual to leverage their relationships and industry knowledge to sell the growing portfolio of Synopsys Solutions to achieve revenue and booking goals and create future growth in key strategic accounts. They will create and find opportunities to build pipeline through their understanding of the needs of key customers and aligning those with Synopsys solutions in device simulation, optical proximity correction (OPC), mask manufacturing, yield management / optimization, SLM and analytics.

In this role you would be responsible for maintaining, strengthening, and growing Synopsys business as well as strategic relationships. As a team member of the Synopsys Global Account team, the Product Solution Sales Manager drives technical campaigns and sales to obtain revenue and booking goals by working directly and through the account sales team to build pipeline and expand usage and business growth. Emphasis is placed on the ability to working closely with R&D, Product Marketing and Application Engineers to address and satisfy customer requirements. The Product Solution Sales Manager will create short- and long-term growth opportunities by building relationships with key technical managers. The qualified individual must have the ability to aim high and help drive multi-million dollar, complex technical sales campaigns.

Key Qualifications:

  • A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or related degree) with a minimum of 5 years+ technical selling experience preferably in Silicon Engineering solutions or closely related field
  • A deep understanding of IC design implementation into manufacturing solutions e.g. device simulation, optical proximity correction (OPC), mask manufacturing, yield management / optimization, SLM and analytics.
  • Working in a team environment with Global Account Managers, Sales Managers, PSSM's , Executive Account Managers, Applications Consultants, Corporate Applications Engineers, Marketing and R&D to meet and exceed established objectives of this global account team
  • Account planning, project management, forecasting, lead generation, prospecting, qualifying and delivery of sales presentations and proposals to either new or existing customers. Also, responding to information requests and inquiries from executives and global team members
  • Driving and coordinating technical resources to support an understanding of the customer's challenges and needs
  • Developing long-term business opportunities with global customers by creating a close relationship with key decision makers within the account base
  • Coordinating the preparation of written proposals and interfacing with internal organizations such as business units, legal, finance, and order processing for the purpose of closing business
  • Developing and directing complex technical sales plans, which may involve competitive displacements or creative business solutions to meet or exceed pre-established quotas and account initiatives
  • The ability to drive engagements at management and technical levels that produce differentiated Synopsys results in addressing Customer's key challenges
  • The ability to multi-task, stay highly organized/detail-oriented, and can effectively interact with a variety of different interpersonal styles
  • Strong leadership, influencing, verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationships and experience working with foundries
    Ideal candidate will be located near the Portland, OR or Chandler, AZ or Mountain View, CA areas. This position will report into the Director of Sales.

    The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $111,000 to $194,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
