Position Summary
NSTAR is seeking a Director of Sales to join our growing organization as we provide technical service and staffing solutions for equipment and facility needs in the semiconductor industry. The main duties include being directly responsible for growing, leading and motivating the sales team, developing sales plans for all team members to reach sales targets, growing our client base, creating sales reports, building profit goals and executing those goals. This is a position for an entrepreneurial driven individual with proven success and experience in achieving high sales targets and running a sales team in the semiconductor or like industry.
Direct Responsibilities

  • Leading and growing NSTARs sales team to set, track and ensure they meet company sales targets on individual client accounts as well as hunt and grow new client accounts
  • Ability to plan and execute strong sales strategies to hit and exceed quotas
  • Must travel frequently to client sites and on short notice if needed domestic and international travel will be required.
  • Create quarterly and annual goals in accordance with NSTAR company goals, revenue and profit targets as well as manage your teams performance against these.
  • Perform quarterly and annual reviews on your employees performance
    A qualified applicant for the Director of Sales role should possess the following skills:
    • Strong internal and external customer facing communication skills
    • Strong ability to draft sales reports and accurate forecasting to guide team members to do the same
    • Great leadership skills and the ability to motivate the sales team
    • High level of understanding and experience in the semiconductor market
    • Proven ability to hire, train and develop sales managers as true hunters
    • Responsible for managing sales managers activity regarding accurately forecasting and executing sales to their current and projected business on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, while increasing profitability.
    • Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as strong time management ability to prioritize the many tasks and employees they are managing to hit quotas and complete tasks ahead of respective deadlines.
    • Hands on, entrepreneurial spirit, leads by example, with high involvement to development and lead an accomplished sales team.
    • Track record of leading high-performance teams and developing talent.
      Qualifications Or Technical Knowledge
      Technical Background: Minimum of 5 years experience as a sales manager or sales director in the semiconductor industry or other relevant technical industry managing successful sales teams.
      Education Background: Bachelors degree ( technical/business/marketing) preferred coupled with proven work experience in a sales director role.
      Managerial Background: Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and project management skills required. Disciplined, self-organized and able to work independently/self-directed as well as possess solid leadership skills to motivate, grow and run a sales team to hit and exceed quotas. Solid understanding of financials, revenue, profit, cost and gross margin calculations and reporting.
      Software: Windows, MS Office Suite ( Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). It is required to develop the skill to work with in-house systems used at NSTAR as well ( Paycor, Bamboo).
      Physical Effort/Activities: On a continuous basis will work in an office environment, sit at desk for a long period of time, intermittently answer telephone and use a computer to communicate. On an occasional basis in the performance of duties, may be required to walk, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
