Company Profile:Pelican Brewing Company has been crafting beers with passion, purpose & integrity since 1996. We began in our original pub in Pacific City, OR. We have since built a second brewpub in Cannon Beach and currently constructing a third in Siletz Bay. This position will work in our production facility in Tillamook. We are a healthy & growing brewery and are on track to produce 50k barrels this year.Job Profile:The Warehouse Specialist I performs a variety tasks critical to the execution of supply chain objectives at Pelican Brewing Company. The Warehouse Specialist position focuses on the accurate pick and load of all customer shipments from the warehouse while adhering to Pelican safety and quality guidelines. Position duties also include receiving of inbound materials, warehouse cleaning, forklift operation and other warehouse activities as needed. Qualifications:High school diplomaAbility to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-30lbs Ability to lift 75#'s and safely handle items weighing up to 150#'sFrequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlOccasionally required to sit and climb or balanceOutstanding communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to obtain forklift certificationCDL Class A strongly preferred but not required. Opportunities available internally to help accommodate training Job Responsibilities & Duties:Accurately pick and load outbound beer shipmentsPerform warehouse cleaning duties as scheduled and requestedComplete shipment paperwork carefully and accuratelyUnload inbound shipments and organize by assigned locations in the warehousePerform all regular warehouse forklift driving dutiesAccurately pick and load internal transfer shipments for packaging and raw material orders going to the breweryPerform accurate inventory counts of all materials and supplies processing through the warehouse at requested periodsMust exhibit responsible and careful behavior at all times. Facility is a bonded warehouse for the storage, transfer & inventory of alcohol. Inventories and processes may be audited by state and/or federal authoritiesShow off your passion and knowledge about craft beer and have fun participating in industry events such as tastings and new releases.This is an hourly position that may require occasional night, weekend and overtime shifts as well as response to emergencies that may require action during non-scheduled periods.
