Job SummaryThe Garment Technician is an entry level position that is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site (Intel), all of which can include: receiving laundry carts, garment point of use replenishment, used garment inspection, and allocation of hanger spaces in the gown rooms.Schedule:Mon - Fri, 6 am - 3 pmLocation: 2501 NE Century Blvd., Hillsboro, OR 97124Wage: $16.50 per hour base wageWhy Avantor?     • Point of use replenishment of laundry items
    • Collection and inspection of used garments
    • Tracking log documentation regarding garment usage
    • Receive, review, and approve inbound shipments
    • Responsible for preparing shipping documentation and staging material for pickup.
    • Run Customer's database of hanger assignments
    • Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins checks to avoid overflow
    • Ordering new garments as needed
    • Mapping out garment locations for training aids
    • Point person for any garment issues or concerns
    • Other duties as assigned.What do you need to have?
      • Experience in customer service, material handling and/or inventory replenishment
      • Able to lift 50lbs
      • Digital literacy including Microsoft Office
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet goals
      • Problem-solving skills
      • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances
      • Strong communication skills
      • High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do demeanor
      • Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
      • Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures
      • Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the confidence to act independentlyWhat would be nice to have? (desired, not required)

        • Manufacturing or warehouse environment experience
