Job SummaryThe Site Supervisor will perform overall management co-ordination and responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Avantor Services team on our customer' site (Intel). The position is responsible for health and safety requirements, training/compliance, and line management of the Avantor staff to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to our customer. The position is also a liaise with other suppliers, senior stakeholders, and the science community ensuring continuity of contracted services by adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and will assist higher level supervisors/managers as needed.Why Avantor?   • Leads a team as well as performs work related to customer requirements (inventory management services).
  • Coaches and motivates team members to perform job requirements and to meet and exceed goals and objectives. Encourages through mentoring, as well as supporting individual, professional, and team growth.
  • Management of order status reports, department metrics, and reports.
  • Standard Operating Procedure and Scope of Work updates.
  • Performs administrative duties such as associate performance appraisals, succession planning, timecard review, vacation scheduling, etc.
  • Builds and maintains: Standard Operating Procedures, Scope of Works, Serial PeripheralInterfaces, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer, and Avantor services and sales.
  • Other duties as assigned.What do you need to have? (required)
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 4+ years applicable experience in customer services, purchasing, and/or account management.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well with both customers and various departments within Avantor.
    • Excellent customer service skills displaying a professional can-do demeanor.
    • Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Suite and ERP Systems; including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of MS Access. The position will be required to build spreadsheets and create reports.
    • Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge.
    • Ability to trouble shoot and make sound business decisions with limited consultation with manager.
    • Valid Drivers License and transportation. You may need to travel to other customer locations in the area (Aloha).
    • Must be flexible, adaptable, and multi-task oriented.
    • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate, and forward thinking.
    • High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
    • Conform to all requirements for background checks, safety issues, and security clearances.
    • Must show desire for long-term growth within Avantor.What would be nice to have? (desired but not required)
      • Previous experience leading associates.
      • Associates degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field.
      • Spill containment, IATA, DOT, IMDG and Hazwoper training.
      • Inside sales experience and cross referencing skills.What are the working conditions like? Typically half of the work is done in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Outside of the office, the environment requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying objects that may weigh up to 50lbs. Work assignments are diversified.
