A Payroll Administrator position is open at Robert Half. This opportunity ensures you will be part of a dynamic team for career growth. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Hillsboro, Oregon as a long-term contract / temporary role.

Key responsibilities

- Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to circulate amongst department heads

- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes

- Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities

- Produce reports after compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

- Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies

- Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll

- Manage and review, including verify, source documents

- Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence

- Answer questions and requests related to payroll information

- Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

- Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

Requirements

- Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll management

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

- Proficiency in multi-state payroll

- Command of payroll for over 500 employees

- Well-informed in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
