You would be working in a team environment that promotes growth within the company for qualified individuals.WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?We are seeking an experienced and talented Quality Inspector II to join our team in Hillsboro, OR! Quality control inspectors make sure that products meet standards of quality and safety. Responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs mechanical inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.Inspection includes but is not limited to:Raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts & assembliesFirst Piece/First Article, Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process, final inspectionMeasures Complex components, assemblies, and enclosures.Generates detailed inspection and nonconformance reports as necessary.Checks documents for accuracy and compliance with requirementsRead and interpret information from engineering drawings, travelers, specifications, and other documents to generate a complete and precise inspection report/record.Audits Quality Control process/programs to ensure compliance to standardsInspection(s) could be internal or external (i.e. source inspections)Interfaces and provides support to other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality-related issues as necessaryRequires ability to maintain a clean and safe work environmentAttain positive results and communication through team effortStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, strong attention to detail.Develop inspection techniques and train Level 1 inspectorPerforms other duties as assigned.IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?Educational/Certification Requirement:High School Diploma/equivalentSome technician coursework/AA degrees preferredASQ (American Standard of Quality) certification preferredExperience Requirement:2-5 years working in a production environment in the same and/or related industryExperience working in a cleanroom environment preferredPrevious experience on NPI (New Product Introduction) a plusAble to make suggestions for process development a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate working knowledge of MS Office applications and database softwareMust be computer literate!Intermediate math abilitiesMust be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications at a proficient level.Intermediate level of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance), must be able to independently and adequately interpret and apply GD&T to every job on a daily basisMust be able to operate manual CMM's independently and edit CMM programs to make necessary changes to run accurate programs successfully.Able to read and interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings/Blue Prints.Intermediate level for mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards related to machining and basic knowledge of secondary processes such as paint, powder coat, plating, etc.Must be able to read and interpret weld symbols, call-outs, wiring, and/or crimping requirements.Must be able to calculate flat patterns and inspect precision sheet metalMust be able to use must hand-held tools (micrometers, calipers, Others)Please Submit Resumes To:Email: topjobs@ppswork.comor call 440-842-7133
