Job Description Requirements: This individual will be responsible for assembling and completing conformity packages, MELs, and other aircraft specific tasks as necessary to maintain FAA compliance of aircraft and aircraft documentation. Responsibilities: Provide guidance and oversight for proper aircraft document management throughout the company fleet. Assure maintenance provided is complete and accurate data packages are completed and posted. Identify aircraft maintenance schedules with the Director of Maintenance in order to assure proper maintenance packages are prepared for said aircraft prior to input into maintenance. Verify work order details while an aircraft is down for maintenance to ensure all due items are captured prior to aircraft return to service. Assure all aircraft AML/MEL's are accurate and properly posted to each aircraft logbook. Validate necessary parts paper work, engineering documentation, STC, and additional required paperwork associated with those jobs are with the AML/MEL, as appropriate. Build FAA 135 conformity packets to add aircraft to air carrier certificate. Research and disposition Airworthiness Directives to ensure FAA compliance. Monitor changes in FAA required MEL's and evaluate changes required in company manuals/procedures. Develop, manage and maintain manuals such as General Operations, General Maintenance, AAIP, NEF and CAMP to assure company compliance. Assis the Director of Maintenance in managing, scheduling and maintaining Continuous Airworthiness Safety Surveillance program. Provide training and oversight of Records specialist in order to maintain manuals and programs and associated documentation. Assist Chief Pilot with validating, maintaining and updating 135 pilot training records. Evaluate flight crew member records and background to assure compliance with FAA rules/regulations. Assign open and validate closed Hazrep reports for company SMS program. Act as a liaison between the Director of Maintenance and the FAA as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Maintenance. Qualifications: High level of understanding of CFR's as applicable to pilots, aircraft maintenance and charter programs. Able to read/interpret/evaluate CFR's in order to develop/create proper compliance documents to meet the regulatory guidance. Able to work directly with the FAA to evaluate company process and procedures and develop viable solutions to meet the guidance from the FAA. Work with subordinates to train/develop/maintain compliance functions, to include development and maintenance of regulatory required manuals and records. Work with multiple senior managers in assuring FAA compliance within each department. Experience: A&P License, preferred Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience required, preferable with CFR 135 background Required Skills: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Self-motivated and detail oriented with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Ability to interpret, apply and effectively communicate technical data and process associated with aircraft maintenance and alterations.
