If you have not received the e-mail from Guardian Alliance Technologies, please check your Spam/Junk mail folders.STEP 3: Physical Abilities Test (PAT) - The PAT is an obstacle course simulating a foot pursuit which tests endurance and must be completed in 6 minutes or less. In order to meet Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) physical standards, applicants must be able to pass one of the following physical ability tests:National Testing Network's PAT or ORPAT; ORThe Washington County Sheriff's Office PAT; ORPAT taken through another law enforcement agency, including the military.If you have a passed a PAT or ORPAT test within the last six (6) months you may submit your valid PAT Score Certification to 4: Sheriff's Office Orientation -Applicants will be invited to attend an agency orientation.STEP 5: Pre-Offer Suitability Test / Video Interview - Applicants will be invited to complete the Pre-Offer Suitability Test, which evaluates an applicant's characteristics and match for the certified law enforcement profession and WCSO. Applicants will also be asked to answer several questions on video, to be used during the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Portfolio Review.STEP 6: Ride Along - Candidates are required to complete an enforcement ride along.STEP 7: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Portfolio Review -Applicants who pass the Background Investigation will have their information submitted for a SME Portfolio Review. The SME Portfolio Review will assess the candidates' life and work experience in ten key character-based competencies. Candidates who successfully pass the SME Portfolio review will be invited to a panel interview with Washington County Sheriff's Office.STEP 8: Panel Interview - Applicants will complete a panel interview as a final step before they are considered for an Eligible List.STEP 9: Command Staff Interview - Top candidates are invited to interview with the Division Command Staff.STEP 10: Commander Interview and Conditional Job Offer - Final interview for selected candidates with the Commander.STEP 11: Post Offer Physical and Psychological Evaluation - The evaluations are completed by third parties; a licensed medical doctor and a licensed psychologist. Additional Pay & Benefits Merit Increases - salary step increases granted upon satisfactory performance and completion of 26 qualified pay periods. Bilingual Pay - $55 per pay period which is paid out every two weeks. Incentive Pay - 2 to 8% for a combination of certification levels, training, college education and years of service. Premium Pay for various special assignments (Field Training Officer, Tactical Negotiations Team - SWAT, Motorcycle Officer and K-9. Overtime and/or compensatory time allowances for overtime, callback and court appearance. Uniform including initial tailoring, duty gear, and firearm. Clothing allowance - $60 per month, if assigned to plain clothes duty full-time.
