Job Description

Global Supply Chain Quality and Reliability (GSC Q&R) group is responsible for all materials and supplier quality programs for Intel's global supply chain for both internal and outsourced manufacturing.

GSC Q&R is chartered by Corporate Quality Network (CQN) and Global Supply Chain (GSC) divisions to manage material, equipment, and service quality. This role works across GSC Q&R to support and drive the integration of supplier training into an external learning platform. The successful candidate will lead and contribute from strategic development to execution and delivery. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

The Intern - Technical Project Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Defining the business process needs into developer instructions resulting in the transparency of training requirements, current supplier status and user-defined progress reports (v. supplier, org, overall, etc.) and historical trends.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Work with subject matter experts to define tasks and required resources.
  • Create project plans and schedules utilizing known best practices.
  • Managing:
  • Maintain project objectives.
  • Track day-to-day project deliverables and resources.
  • Maintain budget to expectations.
  • Ensure quality of product or deliverable is aligned with set standards.

  • Communication:
  • Create and deliver succinct well-formatted and articulate written communications.
  • Discern meaning, thoughtful and logical response during verbal conversations.
  • Document new best practices and lessons learned.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in Office 365 tools.
  • 1+ years of experience with project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Expertise in developing taxonomy and translating training materials into alternative methods.
  • Previous experience working with Agile.
