The Registered Nurse will be working part
time at Tuality Hospital. The RN is a member of a
multi-disciplinary team and has the primary responsibility for and
provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for
patients. This includes representing the practice both in person
and on the telephone, other OHSU departments, and non OHSU
facilities. The Registered Nurse assesses patient and family needs,
develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care
delivered. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice in
accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a
commitment to service excellence.
The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate,
evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families,
communities and patient populations. The Clinical RN's care
delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA
Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. The

applicants: Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree from a
program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or
Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).

unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License.
- BLS at time
of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation

to perform the essential functions of the position with or without
Qualifications/Requirements (competencies, equipment,
- 2 years’ experience in outpatient Antenatal Testing Unit.
- 1 year phone triage experience
- 1 year phlebotomy experience
- Limited Third Trimester OB Ultrasound Certification or intent
to obtain Certification within six months of hire.
- NCC Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or
intent to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
- Ability to maintain a smooth operation of the entire practice,
using problem-solving and decision-making combined with sound
- Assists provider with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and
treatments as needed in the clinic.
- Ability to respond appropriately in crisis situations.
Understands the procedures for medical emergencies, as well as
other disaster situations.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Excellent leadership skills.
- Will consider candidates with 5 year’s recent experience in
Labor and Delivery.
Department Specific Preferences
(competencies, certifications, etc.):
- BSN Nursing degree.
- Limited 3rd Trimester OB Ultrasound Certification.
- NCC Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- Previous charge nurse or lead nurse position.
- 5 years’ experience working in an Antenatal Testing Unit.
