Job Description

Come be a part of the Platform and Architecture Integration Validation team within the Data Platform Group, focusing on at-scale validation. We are seeking an experienced Validation and Debug Engineer to join our team and work on delivering state of the art cluster and datacenter platform solutions. In this role you will use your deep knowledge of platforms (system, HW/SW) and cluster solutions to support the Data Products Group product portfolio. You will be interacting with Architecture, Design, Silicon Validation, and Product teams to analyze requirements for high scale cluster solutions, customer use cases, and improve product validation content.

The scope of your role will include:

  • Ownership of technical domains end to end. System level domains.

  • Leading validation efforts to ensure platform quality at scale, while using platform knowledge such as: CPU architecture, PCIE, USB, SAS, SATA, i2CSMBUS, IPMI, BIOS/UEFI, DIMM Storage Networking Virtualization Manageability, RAS or Security.

  • Working with partners to plan, develop, and execute validation test plans.

  • Review requirements coverage and drive successful execution of platform debug activities and taskforces participation on issue resolution.

  • Provide leadership and oversight to test content development to enhance coverage of product and platform features and respective requirements.

  • Participate in product planning and release meeting roadmaps providing input and decisions as well as collaborate with various internal partners on items such as issue resolutions.


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

  • 6+ years of experience in systems validation testing and/or platform validation

  • 5+ years of experience working with server or infrastructure systems compute architectures

  • 2+ years of experience in one or more technical domains such as network, RAS (reliability, accessibility, serviceability), virtualization, or power management

  • 2+ years of experience leading a domain area to help solve complex problems attributing to platform stability


  • Experience with cloud native stacks, cloud services orchestration, or virtualization services
