Quality Engineering Associate The Quality Engineering Associate (QEA) is responsible for providing Quality Assurance support to product development and manufacturing to increase product quality and reliability. The QEA assists the Quality Engineering team in bringing new products to market through setup of new product inspection plans in the ERP system, supporting the inspection plan change control process, and supporting and monitoring new product related non-conforming material reports. Duties/Responsibilities Assists in preparation of inspection plans via approved quality system forms and procedures Inputs and maintains inspection plans in ERP system as requested by Quality Engineer Understands and troubleshoots inspection plans in the ERP system Supports inspection plan updates, including performing or releasing ECOs as requested by Quality Engineer. Assist in inspection of prototypes (create datasheets, coordinate with Quality Production Supervisors) Assists in New Product Introduction (NPI) related NCMR investigation and documentation to be approved by Quality Engineer. Monitors root cause analysis activities for NPI related non-conforming material reports. Coordinates execution of Test Method Validation (TMVs) Assists in compiling team metrics. Assists in coordination and completion of Design History File audits for NPI launches Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent plus 6 years of mechanical inspection experience or an Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology or Quality Assurance plus 4 years of mechanical inspection experience. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to read work instructions, specifications and procedures and complete all documentation. Expertise in reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications for manufactured products. Experience with structured problem-solving techniques. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a team contributor. Knowledge of quality and statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPC, Six Sigma, Risk Analysis, FMEA, DEO, trend analysis, etc.) Good organizational skills Maintain an organized, neat and clean work environment. Proficiency with MS Office required (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook). Expertise in reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD). Ability to use manufacturing data gathering system to determine product status and location (SAP experience preferred). General knowledge/understanding of company products and their applications.
