Job Description:
Sysco, a global leader in the food service industry, is seeking
a dedicated Delivery Driver Supervisor to oversee our fleet of
delivery vehicles ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of
food products to our valued customers across various sectors
including restaurants, healthcare, educational facilities, and the
hospitality industry. This role is critical in maintaining the high
standards of our delivery services, optimizing routes, and managing
a team of drivers to achieve excellent customer service and
compliance with safety regulations. Oversee daily operations of
delivery drivers and vehicles ensuring compliance with company
policies and transportation regulations. Schedule and coordinate
delivery routes to optimize efficiency and fuel usage while meeting
customer delivery windows. Conduct routine vehicle inspections
along with maintenance scheduling to ensure all fleet is in
excellent working condition. Train and mentor drivers on best
practices for safe driving and efficient delivery processes. Manage
performance of the team, providing regular feedback and conducting
evaluations. Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies in
delivery operations, including accidents and customer complaints.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Prepare and
review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and
efficiency. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent
organizational and logistical planning abilities. Proficiency in
using GPS and route management software. Highly effective
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate and
manage a fleet of delivery vehicles. Adaptability and
problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license. Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required. Certification in
Logistics, Transportation, or Fleet Management is advantageous.
