SummaryDPS Group is growing and looking for an experienced
Structural Engineer to join our A/E design team in Hillsboro, OR.
The Structural Engineer will lead structural design effort for
smaller projects and will collaborate with others in the department
on larger projects. Works on various types of projects including
existing building renovations and new structures and supports all
phases of projects from conceptual design through construction. The
Structural Engineer monitors multiple projects and the work being
completed by Engineers and Designers and will have thorough
knowledge of structural design including building codes and
materials, engineering calculations, and design software.Proven
success working for A/E or EPCM consultancy companies in a similar
role, supporting projects related to building structures for
cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, data center, solar
manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is
highly desirable. Advanced technology / semiconductor tool install
/ hook-up design experience ideal!Successful candidates will have a
minimum of 4 years' experience designing for building structures,
work with multi-disciplined design teams, project managers, and
construction management personnel. Professional Engineering (P.E.)
licensure required, with the ability to obtain licensure in seismic
states (CA, OR, WA, ID) if not already licensed.Must be currently
reside in the US, and able to work on PST time zone schedule.
Relocation within the United States may be available for selected
candidate. Will consider remote candidates with directly related
experience in semiconductor facilities and tool install
design.Responsibilities
- Perform design and analysis of gravity and lateral framing
systems for building structures and foundations. Building materials
typically used include structural steel, reinforced concrete, load
bearing masonry, and some timbre, precast concrete, and cold formed
metal studs.
- Provide direction and oversight to designers and drafters as
required during the production of construction documents. Assists
with deliverable production as required.
- Perform construction administration tasks including submittal
reviews, RFI responses, jobsite observations, and reviews of change
orders and pay applications.
- Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and
analyzing material costs and quantities.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients in
developing design solutions and solving problems.
- Perform field investigations and surveys of existing
facilities; prepare reports of findings and recommendations.
- Assist with the development of man-hour estimates and
structural scopes of work for proposals as required.
- Support Designer and Engineer responsibilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related
discipline, with minimum 4 years of design / consulting experience,
and supporting building structures projects. P.E. license
required.
- Software proficiencies should include MS Office Suite, MS
Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design
software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English),
along with attention to detail and organization. Ability to present
before an audience of clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of the team,
supporting multiple projects at a time. Ability to work in a
fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Previous
experience supporting industrial facilities projects is
preferred.
- Must currently reside in the US, and able to work on PST time
zone schedule. Relocation within the United States may be available

- Ability to provide valid work authorization for US
