We are looking for a highly motivated senior protocol software engineer join our R&D team, based in Hillsboro, OR. As a protocol software engineer, the candidate will be joining an existing team and will be part of an international multi-site development project focusing on next generation products for the cellular communication industry. You will be working on latest 3GPP 5GNR, LTE and other wireless technologies. The candidate should have strong 3GPP NR & LTE RRC and Layer 3 signaling protocol knowledge, to extend the signaling protocol framework on the CMX, the next generation radio mobile communication tester. The candidate must be experienced in C++/python object-oriented programming. Responsibilities: -- Design, implementation and testing of software for the CMX. -- Protocol based software integration and troubleshooting. -- Creation of system level software requirements and design specifications. -- Participation in software code and design reviews. -- Reviewing standards documents for technical issue resolution. Requirements: -- M.S./B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent educational certificate. -- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. -- Proven ability to design, implement, integrate, debug and understanding complex hardware/software systems and projects. -- Knowledge of 3GPP NR & LTE RRC and Layer 3 signaling. -- Proven ability interfacing with multiple teams with multiple priorities. -- Ability to travel occasionally to worldwide and U.S. locations. Desirable skills and experiences: -- Background in cellular communications systems is very desirable, such as NR, LTE, WCDMA -- Knowledge of 3GPP NR & LTE RLC/MAC, RRC and NAS layer protocols -- Background with R&S CMW500, CMX -- Background with GIT, Gitlab and other version control tools -- Background with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Code
