Job Description:

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District -in search of an HR Business Partner with a passion for building HR programs and supporting employees who provide park and recreation services to the community. The ideal candidate -has experience in the public sector, -including -employee relations -work -in a union setting. -The ideal teammate -seeks opportunities to improve -services -and -enjoys -the process of -working -collaboratively across teams to implement those ideas. -
Position Profile:The Human Resources Department at THPRD supports an employee base of roughly 200 full-time employees and 1,000 part-time employees (depending on the season). The successful candidate will join -a team of -three -HR -Business Partners -who all report to the HR Director. -The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor -to -assigned departments -and provides support with -employee relations, including workplace investigations, accommodations, -and -employee development. -This position will also oversee the Recruitment -& -Selection program area, -including -acting as lead recruiter for all full-time -vacancies and overseeing a team of 2-4 part-time staff responsible for the part-time recruitment process. -
Current goals for this position include a review of the district's part-time recruitment program, development of a comprehensive and welcoming onboarding experience for all employees, and -coordination of employee engagement events.

Education and Experience -(Human Resources Business Partner II)Equivalent to a four-year degree with major course work or training in Human Resources Management, Public/Business Administration, or a related field. Graduate or professional degree is desirable. PHR/SPHR or IPMA-CP/SCP certification preferred, AND three (3) or more years of human resources experience in one or more functional areas is -required. Public-sector or high-volume/seasonal HR experience highly desirable.



Compensation details: 92337.27-125806.84 Yearly Salary
