Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties for The
Parr Company. This position carries out responsibilities in the
following areas: benefit administration, employee relations,
retention, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.The
Parr Company's HR Generalist is responsible for delivering the
highest level of customer service to all employees, from the newly
hired to the most senior tenure manager. We pride ourselves in Parr
HR on delivering the best, friendliest and fastest service
possible.Starting salary of $57,000 - $61,000 Depending on
ExperienceDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe following are components
of the job that all Generalists are responsible for, although at
any given time some of these are the primary responsibility of one
particular generalist:General TasksDaily maintenance of the HR
tickets, phone calls and walk-insWeekly adherence to the HR
ticketing and HR phone scheduleMaintaining Ultipro (UKG) database
with accurate information and changesMaintaining personnel
filesComplete required HR paperwork, including (but not limited
to):DMV Records RequestsBackground checksDrug screensAll FMCSA
regulated items for driversRemain current on changing Federal and
state Labor & Industry laws, ADA regulations and EOE
requirementsVerify charges and pay bills for services related to
the HR departmentAdministering FMLA, state leaves, and other leaves
as neededWrites offer letters and arbitrationsMakes additions
and/or corrections to the handbookPerform other duties as
assignedBenefitsResponsible for UltiPro (UKG) administration,
including benefits setup yearlyPrimary HR responsibility for
coordinating and managing Parr's annual open enrollmentAdministers
employee benefits for a self-funded planResponsible for
communication to the employees about all Parr's benefits, and
improving usage and overall reception of Parr's benefitsRespond to
questions from employees regarding benefits and company
proceduresProcess tuition reimbursements for paymentEmployee
RelationsPrimary resource for management teams regarding
progressive discipline and discharge procedures - deliver feedback
to managers for all performance improvement noticesConduct thorough
impartial investigation on all complaints of harassment,
retaliation and/or discrimination - recommend follow-through to
make sure complaint is resolvedAttends and participates in employee
disciplinary meetings, terminations, and
investigationsCollaborationParticipate in New Associate
OrientationParticipates on interview panelsFrequently visits all
locationsPrimary resource for management in all hiring
practicesWorks closely with other departmentsQualifications
IncludeHigh School Diploma or GED requiredA Bachelor's degree in
Business or Human Resources is preferred5+ years of HR work is
preferredHR Certification is preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc)Mastery
of oral, written, presentation and facilitation skillsDemonstrated
experience utilizing MS Office Suite, and project management
softwareMust be able to type 50+ WPMUltipro (UKG) experience
preferredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially,
professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer
service in a dynamic environment.Demonstrate sound judgment in
dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external
customers of all types. Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy

are an office environment or at home with a computer. The job
requires occasional work in lumberyard or manufacturing conditions
working with employees, potentially in all weather.The job requires
frequent travel to Parr locations in the Northwest. The job is
primarily daytime, within a 6am to 6pm window, 40 hours per week
plus overtime as required.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit
and/or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work indoors in
a normal office environment for an entire dayMust be able to grasp,
talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard.Must be able to
drive a vehicle when necessaryBoth local and overnight travel will
