Technologist for a travel job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description

40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel
Title: EEG Technologist Location: Portland, OR 97225 Duration: 16
weeks Shift: Day shift – 5x8 hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM); block
scheduling required; rotating weekday and weekend on-call (3–4 call
shifts per month including ~1 weekend every 6 weeks); occasional
weekend day coverage; no 48-hour schedules Job Responsibilities: -
Perform EEG testing for inpatient and outpatient populations across
all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults,
geriatrics) - Conduct outpatient studies including routine EEG,
sleep-deprived EEG, and ambulatory EEG - Perform inpatient testing
including routine EEG, long-term monitoring (LTM), epilepsy
monitoring unit (EMU) for adults and pediatrics, coma studies, and
sedated studies - Perform ECI brain death studies (required) -
Conduct electrode placement and portable EEG recordings in ICU,
NICU, and PICU settings - Perform sleep EEG and sleep-deprived EEG
testing - Provide care in Level 1 Trauma, Emergency Department,
Adult ICU, NICU, and PICU settings (as applicable) - Maintain 1:1
patient ratio - Participate in rotating on-call coverage (4:00 PM –
7:00 AM); average 50% callback rate; may call out post-call without
PTO usage - Float within hospital and to nearby affiliate
facilities as needed (refusal to float may result in termination) -
Document in Epic EMR system (required) - Follow hospital holiday
requirements (must commit to working 3 of 5 major winter holidays)
- Complete required modules and annual training Required
Qualifications & Skills: - Minimum 2 years of EEG experience (at
least 1 year required per compliance; 2 years per job requirement)
- Active Oregon license required (may submit pending unless
otherwise specified) - BLS certification required - Epic charting
experience required - Experience with: - ECI Brain Death studies -
Electrode placement - Portable EEG recording (ICU, NICU, PICU) -
Sleep-deprived EEG - Sleep EEG - Ability to work rotating weekday
