Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Roseburg, Oregon,
97471! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession:
RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2
years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, STABLE
Must-Have: Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing in the
operating room for cesarean sections Description: Auto offer based
on prescreen recommendation. No operating room license is required
at the time of submission; a 90-day emergency license can be
requested upon offer. Required license can be submitted with
application pending. Unit has a total of 9 labor and delivery beds
and 1 operating room suite. There are 2 triage beds and 4
postpartum beds. Approximately 850-900 births are conducted per
year. Ratios follow professional guidelines. Required to titrate
drips, including but not limited to Pitocin, Lactated Ringer's,
Fentanyl, and Labetalol. Charge nurse and house supervisor roles
are both present. There are OB techs available on this unit. A
neonatologist may not be in-house 24/7. The unit is equipped with 2
vents and 2 bubble CPAPs. Telemetry is available, with RNs
responsible for reading strips; monitor techs manage upstairs
continuous monitoring. Electronic fetal monitoring system in use.
12-hour shifts with yearly core schedules in place. Weekend
requirements are every other weekend or 1 weekend based on
seniority. Holiday requirements follow the ONA contract. There is a
call or standby requirement of 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 4
weeks. The unit is a closed unit unless emergency measures are
initiated. Scrubs are provided in purple. Unit-specific orientation
will be completed for all new and incoming employees. Cancellation
policy allows for shifts to be canceled as per assignment length.
