LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel
nursing job in portland, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements

Travel Licensure / Certification Requirements Registered Nurse (RN)
license Oregon and Washington RN License required Oregon:
application must be submitted to qualify for 90-day exemption
Unencumbered Oregon State Board of Nursing RN license required
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) One of the following:
Current OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) Current BMTCN (Blood and
Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse) OR complete required continuing
education nursing contact hours each accreditation cycle, per
Commission on Cancer requirements Additional Certifications
(preferred): Certified in oncology (OCN) BLS/ACLS – Traditional AHA
only (RQI not accepted) Education Requirements External Candidates:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing Internal Candidates: Bachelor’s degree
in nursing (preferred) Experience Requirements Minimum clinical
experience: 3 years of Hematology Oncology , including
Hematological Malignancy nursing experience within the past 5 years
Experience in solid tumor oncology is helpful Prior experience in
care coordination role in oncology or triage preferred Additional
experience requirements: Recent ambulatory oncology coordination
experience preferred Previous charge experience: Preferred Travel
experience: Not required Skills / Competencies Demonstrated

Clinical / technical skills: BMT, Infusion Center, Inpatient
oncology, Outpatient oncology Recognize/manage side effects of
chemotherapy Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Lung cancer
Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma Body fluid handling post
chemotherapy Oral administration of chemotherapy
Recognize/communicate abnormal lab values Care and management of
ports, PICC line care Extravasation injury, Sepsis management
Medication tolerance/dependence assessment Isolation precautions,
Neutropenic precautions Advanced directives, Patient/Family
education and support Wound care Care coordination Telephone triage
Other Requirements / Preferences Oregon and Washington RN license
required Epic charting system experience required Charting system:
Any Relias exams: OHSU requires a score of 85% or more Work history
verification: last 7 years , including city/state, dates, PTO
References required Must meet Tier 2 Travel Compliance requirements
