Description Radiology Technologist for Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. (Opportunity for a Limited License Bone Density Technologist as an Associate Radiologic Technologist) Part-Time/Day Shift - Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 7am-3:30pm $4,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. The primary focus of this Radiology Technologist is bone density, performing imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness. Required Qualifications: - Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. - Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or - Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire. - National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire. - National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. - New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
