PACU / Pre-Anesthesia (Perianesthesia RN) Location: Seaside, OR
97138 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Variable shifts with
on-call requirements - On-call typically 2 days per week plus
rotating weekends - Weekend call rotation: Friday 6:30 AM – Monday
6:30 AM - Weekday call typically begins between 3:30 PM–6:00 PM and
ends at 6:00 AM Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive
pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia nursing care in a blended
PACU/Pre-Anesthesia unit - Deliver Phase I, Phase II, and extended
recovery care based on patient acuity and procedural requirements -
Utilize clinical judgment to determine appropriate staffing and
interventions in alignment with ASPAN standards and state
regulations - Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage
airways, pain control, and hemodynamic stability - Collaborate with
anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams - Float
within scope to support perioperative services as needed -
Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR Required
Qualifications: - Registered Nurse with experience in PACU and
pre-anesthesia care - Proficiency in both pre-operative and
post-anesthesia nursing - Ability to function independently in a
blended perianesthesia environment - Willingness to take call,
including weekends Current Certifications: - Active AHA BLS - ACLS
(per PACU/perianesthesia standards) Preferred Qualifications: -
Prior perianesthesia or PACU experience in a critical access or
small hospital setting - Familiarity with ASPAN standards - Epic
