dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join
the rehab team for home health services. In this role, you will
assist in providing therapeutic services that focus on improving
the quality of life for patients in their own homes. You will work
under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to
implement individualized care plans, educate patients and their
families, and monitor patient progress.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services under the guidance of a
licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist in developing and executing customized therapeutic
treatment plans for patients.
- Instruct patients in daily living activities to enhance their
functional independence.
- Document patient progress with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure
comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and
self-care strategies.
- Adjust treatment techniques based on patient response and
progress.Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant
program (required).
- Certification through the National Certification Examination of
the American Occupational Therapy Association (required).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Occupational
Therapy Assistant (preferred).
- Current CPR certification (required).
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle
(required for travel within a 60-mile radius).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently, with occasional
lifting of up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking,
bending, squatting, and occasional crawling.Compensation:
- Starting at $32/hour, negotiable based on experience.
