Astoria's charming downtown, with its art galleries, boutique shops, and cozy cafes, adds to its cultural allure.What We Offer$20.75-$25.42/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidatesAs a Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:Maintain and update patient medical records, including vital signs, treatments, and medications, and review immunization records.Prepare for patient visits by reviewing files, ensuring necessary reports are available, and collaborating with Providers for efficient scheduling and continuity of care.Prepare and maintain exam rooms, explain procedures to patients, provide limited education and coaching, respond to patient questions and concerns, assist physicians during exams and procedures, Collect and prepare lab specimens, administer medication, and perform other assigned clinical responsibilities following regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Minimum high school diploma or GEDCompletion of either an accredited medical assisting program, apprenticeship, or equivalent education/military training or two years of full-time MA work experience.CPR certification within 90 days of hireNational credential from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT within 12 months of hire.Medical knowledge for understanding theories, reasons, and technical aspects of medicineStrong people skills to handle diverse personalities, backgrounds, and situationsExcellent multitasking ability to manage varied workloadsProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMROur mission celebrates diversity.
