POSITION SUMMARYSummary of Duties
Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for the clinical
aspects of the social services function for a designated group of
patients. Provides optimal clinical services utilizing resources
effectively. Assists in the implementation of a quality management
program to evaluate social services. Maintains systems which ensure
appropriate utilization of resources and services.JOB
SPECIFICATIONSHIRING COMPETENCIES - skills & experiences the
applicant should bring to the job.
a) Education: Master's Degree from an accredited school of social
work (MSW) required upon hire.
b) License: LCSW or CSWA preferred. Obtain full (LCSW) licensure
within 2.5 years of hire.
c) Experience: Minimum two years of inter-disciplinary team
experience; with preferred experience working with adults in
settings focused on mental health; which can include time spent as
d) Knowledge of chronic, acute and terminal illness and physical
disabilities and the impact on the individual and family

information appropriate to patients' needs and age as required for
assessment, range of treatment and patient care.
k) Demonstrates skills in problem solving and productively
addresses problem situations encountered.
