How will you make an impact?
The Senior Program Manager, Global Sustainability Supply Chain is
the central program management role for Thermo Fisher's global
environmental sustainability and supplier responsibility
strategies. This position reports to the Vice President Global
Sustainability Supply Chain Operations and monitors progress for
our enterprise-wide portfolio of programs and workstreams
accountable for achieving Thermo Fisher's net-zero and supplier
responsibility goals. This individual is responsible for end-to-end
management, developing the cross-functional processes and reporting
mechanisms to meet established milestones; following up and course
correcting with teams; establishing project management
methodologies, standards, and tools; and preparing updates for the
company and business leadership on a regular basis. The ideal
candidate enjoys collaborating on, improving on, and building out
new processes, monitoring a diverse set of fast moving workstreams
and working in a global matrix.
What will you do?
Standardize project management across workstreams by establishing
integrated implementation plans, metrics, governance structure and
cadence, project tracking and review, resource requirements, and
data consolidation
Effectively lead multiple priorities, accelerate organizational
change, monitors project risks and develops mitigation plans, and
solves business issues by removing internal barriers
Provide a unified view of the program including resource
utilization, progress toward commitments, project budget
performance and areas needing attention
Take ownership of centralized program management function to
deliver on environmental sustainability (e.g., net-zero) and
supplier responsibility workstreams globally across the company
Ensure workstreams remain on track by co-developing sub-program
project plans, ensuring clear scoping, aligning metrics and
milestones to overall program, and maintaining regular cadence of
sub-program reviews
Deliver results by collaborating with teams and sub-teams to
improve project management and accountability
Support team to develop materials, status dashboards and business
cases to update executive leadership team or engage governance
council in strategic decision making
Provide guidance and coaching as needed to ensure sub teams have
the tools and training to effectively meet project commitments
Support the team to prepare and give updates on progress to company
leadership, group leadership and executive governance teams.
Lead priorities related to customer requests, government
regulations, customer compliance expectations, companywide
sustainability financials and Key Process Indicator measurement
Facilitates Group Sustainability meeting on a weekly basis, drives
content and follow up.
Works closely with EHS, RD, CSR and GBS functions ensuring programs
are on plan.
Work closely with Corporate Communications and CSR on external
communications on the companies progress to reduce emissions and
water/waste targets
What you must have?
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree (Environmental Science,
Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Business)
10+ years experience in Program Management within complex,
matrixed, global organizations; preferred experience in Process
Improvement and Corporate Sustainability
Track record as senior level project leader with success defining,
influencing and leading measurable change within and across
business units
Budgetary and resource management planning experience
Demonstrated ability to set and manage cross-functional priorities,
resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a complex
global organization
Exceptional project management skills and capabilities (Gantt
charts, dashboards, key deliverables, business case and baseline
development)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as
negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal leadership skills
Team-focused with exceptional analytical, critical thinking,
problem solving, conflict resolution and change management
skills
Ability to absorb rapidly changing regulatory and operational
environment
Proven ability to develop productive relationships and navigate
within a matrix organization
Strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project,
Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel up to 25% on an annual basis
Preferred Qualifications:
Life Sciences, BioTech, or Pharma industry preferred
Process improvement background (PPI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc)
preferred
Certification in Project Management is desirable
The salary range estimated for this position is $122,100 -
$186,450

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Oregon is
$130,000.00-$194,950.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual
bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results
in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total
