Research (CR) delivers innovative device technologies and
architectures to enable Intel's roadmap. Our job is to invent, to
demonstrate, and to develop game-changing and revolutionary
technologies to enable Intel's technology leadership.
We're looking for a PhD level engineer to characterize quantum
devices at low temperature, as well as perform simple computations
of quantum circuits in dilution refrigerators. Responsibilities are
the following:
- Primary study will be on spin qubits in silicon
- Hands-on expertise with device electrical measurements is
required
- Experience with cryogenic and vacuum systems, in particular,
dilution refrigerators
- You will need to efficiently communicate and collaborate daily
with other groups to determine and validate success criteria
- Independent design and follow-through of unique, enabling ideas
is a key expectation from this role
- This position includes overseeing measurement equipment and
collaboration with external research groups and vendor programs

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and
are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum requirements:
Master's Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Quantum
Engineering with 6+ years of experience or Ph.D. degree in Physics,
Electrical Engineering, or Quantum Engineering with 4+ years of
experience.
Experience in the following:
- Physics understanding of quantum devices including qubits
- Experience with the electrical measurement of devices
- Measuring qubits or quantum dots
- Familiarity with quantum physics
- Cryogenic systems, including dilution refrigerators
- 1st author publications
Preferred:
- Understanding of CMOS devices and device physics at low
temperature
- Programming, preferably using PythonJob Type:Experienced
