Job Description and Requirements


Quality assurance and testing is a critical part of software development. Our Mask Synthesis team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer. This person will drive our standardized quality processes across different many products. The role involves developing automation strategies, performance testing, coverage-based testing, and leading quality improvements initiatives. Our product is an industry standard in mask synthesis for chip manufacturing. The technology includes high performance computing (HPC), machine learning (ML), and GPU computing.We are looking for a hands-on and technical engineer. Someone who is passionate about the quality of software products. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to roll-up your sleeves. You should have a high level of ownership and accountability. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record creating tests strategies for complex software systems.Desired Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of Agile and Water Fall development lifecycles and how they enforce to product quality
• Experience with all aspects of software testing for functionality, regression, performance, and release
• Familiar with defect tracking lifecycle in day-to-day quality assurance activities
• Experience reviewing requirements and functional specifications for consistency and accuracy
• Able to work with other departmental staff to achieve quality goals and project targets
• Ability to manage many projects at a time with changing requirements
• Must be detail oriented, systematic and reliable
• Can work in a team environment or alone with limited direction and supervision
• Proficient finding the root cause of defects in a complex software system
• Experience monitoring and reporting product testing status and metrics
• Able to assess risks and offer mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery
• Has demonstrated a desire to pursue a career in Quality EngineeringRequirements:
  • BS/MS in electrical engineering/computer science, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in programming various languages (shells, Perl, Python)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environment.
  • Familiar developing Quality Assurance automation tools and infrastructure
  • Prior knowledge and experience testing EDA tools would be a benefit.

In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
