Engineer (Plating & Wet Processing) SUMMARY: The candidate will be
a key member of the thin films plating and wet processing team
chartered with driving thin films and etch manufacturing
technologies, materials, and tooling roadmaps to improve current
capabilities and enable new capabilities for RF GaAs based
integrated circuits. We are a highly collaborative work
environment. Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the plating, Cu bump, and wet processes including
cleans and lift-off.
- Driving a wide range of process improvement technologies in
etch, cleans or lift off patterning.
- Working closely with other departments (production,
maintenance, yield, lithography) to keep the production lines up
and healthy with focus on safety and quality.
- Qualifying and implementing improvement projects. The ideal
candidate will have greater than 4 years of plating ownership
experience, preferably in a wafer manufacturing environment.
Additionally, fundamental understanding of plating and wet
processing, a strong data analysis background and a solid
problem-solving methodology are required. - QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD, Masters, or Bachelors in one of the following areas:
Physics, Materials Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering,
Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated progressive plating and wet
processing experience for PhD Candidates; 4 years for MS
candidates; and 6 years for Bachelor candidates.
- Strong knowledge and past tool ownership experience of plating
equipment and wet sinks/benches is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of thin films plating (materials &
equipment) and wet etch processes. Understanding of the key
parameters that modulate plating and wet etch processes.
- Ability to think logically, construct meaningful experiments,
analyze data, and use a structured problem-solving approach to
improve our process. -
- Must have exceptional technical and troubleshooting
skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to
communicate appropriately to all levels including operators,
technicians, engineers, directors, and executive management such as
GM's and VP's. -
- Ability to work with others at any level in the organization
with a hands-on approach and a customer orientation.
- Ability to follow instructions as well as being able to work on
self-directed assignments and advise senior management on
technologies directions and decisions.
- Capable of working in a highly changing environment with
tolerance to ambiguity. -
- Keen eye for attention to detail.
- Knowledge and proven application of statistical process control
and design of experiments.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques such as JMP,
