We are located at the Vancouver Waterfront and look for a quality-driven and service-oriented individual to join our maintenance team. The Role The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in assuring product quality of rooms and public areas. This is a part-time position for the 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm shifts on Sundays and Mondays. Benefits 401(k) after one year of employment Room Discounts PTO Holidays Flexible Scheduling Referral Bonus Opportunities Responsibilities Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment Inspects plumbing regularly Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs Ensures all appliances are working correctly Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety Requirements High School diploma or GED One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading Ability to read, write and speak English Basic Math skills Basic computer skills EEOC Statement Vesta Hospitality provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals based on job-related qualifications and ability without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status or characteristic protected by law.
