Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) - OSP - 1.0 FTE - Office for School Performance - Date Needed: 8/28/2023 - 10 month calendar - *Internal Applicants Only*

GENERAL DUTIES:

Assists the Office School Performance (OSP) Team in implementation of the Hillsboro School District Strategic Plan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
* The ability to follow oral and written instructions
* The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
* The ability to work harmoniously with others
* Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
* Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
* The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
* A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, plus a minimum of one year of leadership experience as a department chairperson, team leader, intern, or instructional leader
* Knowledge of and experience with effective instruction and assessment
* The ability to work with multiple grade levels in elementary and/or secondary
* A valid Oregon driver's license and a vehicle for work related travel
* Effective time management and organizational skills
* Experience with Teaching AVID Excel, as an EL Specialist, ESOL Endorsed, Reading Interventions, Gifted Education, MS Instructional Coaching
* Knowledgeable about Dual Language Programs
* Developing and Facilitating Professional Development
* Bilingual English/Spanish required (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
