Job Description:
THE POSITION
Washington County's Facilities and Parks Services Division takes
great pride in the planning, construction, maintenance, and repair
of nearly 40 County-owned buildings (over 1.3 million square feet),
grounds, parks, and associated hardscape. We are looking for an
energetic team player to fill their Financial Analyst opening and
join the Facilities and Park Services team.
The OpportunityThe Financial Analyst will assist the Senior
Financial Analyst in the development and maintenance of the
Facilities' operations and capital budgets and tracking/reporting
expenditures. The work will include budget preparation, auditing,
and cost allocation; reviewing and approving invoices; and other
tasks related to receivables, payables, and journal entries. As the
Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to exercise your
strong financial and analytical skills to draft financial reports
and provide an in-depth analysis of financial conditions and
spending trends. Additionally, you will address fiscal year end
closing and auditing requirements by reviewing and interpreting
contracts, work activity, and payment strategies against invoices
submitted by contractors. You will work closely with staff to
assist with professional correspondence to hold contractors to
allowable terms, collaborate on new budgetary needs, and
communicate with divisional staff on procedural changes as needed.

(MAPPS) - FLSA exempt employees are paid on a salaried basis. The
premise of salaried/exempt employment is that established
compensation recognizes the time and effort needed to accomplish
all assigned job duties. Job responsibilities may require work
outside of the employee's standard work week or a work week in
excess of 40 hours.

This position is not represented under a collective bargaining
agreement.
Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours
or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits
beginning on the first of the month following employment. Job share
employees are responsible for 50% of the premium. Part-time
regular, variable hour, and temporary positions are not eligible
for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
